Du is currently scouting for a high-level technical expert to join their team in Dubai as an Engineer for Fixed Access Support. If you have deep experience in GPON and enterprise network architecture, this role offers a prime opportunity to work with one of the leading telecom providers in the UAE.

Role Overview

This is not a entry-level position. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for keeping critical network infrastructure running smoothly. Your daily routine will involve managing trouble tickets for GPON and P2P enterprise setups, performing deep-dive analysis on network health, and ensuring that all systems stay within contracted SLA parameters.

You aren’t just reacting to issues here; you are expected to analyze performance reports to catch bottlenecks before they turn into outages. Whether you are dealing with legacy Cisco switches or the latest in Huawei GPON technology, your ability to handle high-pressure network crises will define your success in this role.

Key Eligibility & Requirements

Because this is a specialized role, Du has set a clear bar for the technical background they expect.

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Experience: You must have at least 8 years of solid experience in the Telecom domain.
  • Routing & Switching: Over 5-7 years of hands-on experience is mandatory.
  • Certifications: CCNA is a baseline requirement; preference goes to candidates holding a CCIE certification.
  • Technical Stack:
    • Extensive knowledge of legacy platforms including N7K, N5K, 7600, 6500, 3750, and 2960 routers.
    • Proficiency with firewalls from Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, and Fortinet.
    • Deep understanding of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and BFD.
    • Experience with MPLS networks and IIB/GPON hardware from Nokia, Cisco, and Huawei.

Why This Role Matters

The Dubai telecom sector is fast-paced. As a Fixed Access Support Engineer, you will be the backbone of enterprise and consumer connectivity. You will work closely with Customer Assurance teams, lead disaster recovery initiatives, and help shape how the company handles capacity planning. It is a role for someone who values technical precision and can manage multiple complex tasks without losing focus.
